On the night of December 14, 2023, we embarked on a quest to find the most effective healing therapies for our 4-year-old son, Justus Abraham Laguerre. Following a severe car accident, our son suffered life-threatening injuries, including fractures of his skull that penetrated into his brain, resulting in a traumatic brain injury (TBI). He underwent emergency surgery immediately upon arrival at the hospital. Throughout those critical hours, a dedicated team of nurses and doctors vigilantly monitored his condition. With multiple tubes draining from his head, Justus was unable to walk, speak, eat, or even open his eyes. Despite the challenges, he bravely fought for his life. We remained by his side in the hospital for approximately three weeks as the medical team exhausted all available treatments. At that point, our son’s abilities were severely limited – he could only open his eyes and move part of his right side. His left side remained paralyzed, and he was unable to speak, walk, or eat independently. Nutrition was provided through a g-tube inserted into his stomach.

Following our hospital stay, we transitioned to a rehabilitation facility for an additional three weeks. Upon discharge, our son had made significant progress – he was able to consume pureed foods, articulate words, display smiles, sit up unaided, and was in the process of learning to walk with support. However, our determination to restore our son to his optimal state persisted. We embarked on an extensive journey to seek out the finest experts and therapies available to aid in his recovery. Our quest took us across different states, where Justus underwent treatments at renowned facilities. In New Orleans, he received care at a leading hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) center. Subsequently, in New Mexico, he underwent Neuro Acupuncture treatments administered by a top specialist. Our journey then led us to Arizona, where he received stem cell therapies and further HBOT sessions. This transformative experience exposed us to a wealth of knowledge previously unfamiliar to us, highlighting the critical importance of oxygen reaching his injured brain. Witnessing the miraculous progress in his healing journey underscored the profound impact of these interventions. Our desire is to share this remarkable journey to both educate and inspire others on the path to healing.
